The cloud is a place for storing whatever is on a device (computer). Data is uploaded and saved, and it can be accessed when there is WiFi available. The cloud is a great place to store data that is taking up space on a device. The data is stored in a server farm, where refrigerator – sized computers are storing data until it is needed. There are cables that connect to these farms, that run along the bottom of the ocean, to your home. With cellular, the cables connect to a cell tower, then a signal can be transmitted through electromagnetic waves.
A great way to explain the cloud is through a house. A house can store a lot of stuff, but eventually, it gets too full. You go to put your stuff in a storage unit. You are able to access the unit whenever you need, so you can access whatever you need at any time. If you get robbed, everything you saved in the storage unit will be saved for you.
This was all about the cloud!
